January Happenings.

Ok everyone, don't stop breathing. I have decided to post. This is a shocker, I know, but it must be done. Life is very busy around here and I need to write down what's been going on.

Daddy Malin turned the Big 3o on Dec 12th. On his bday he got everyone up and out of bed, and we all watched the sunrise together, he even planned it out and brought donuts, and hot chocolate. What great day! Here's a shot of dad and his kids sitting in front a big cotton bale watching the sunrise.

Aubrey and Savannah did so good in their Choir concert at school on Dec 10th. Here's shots of them.

Savannah played in Mom's piano Recital on Dec. 10th. Look how good her posture and finger postions are. She's gonna be a fantastic piano player.

We had Christmas in Thatcher this year with the Innes Grandparents and Aunts and Uncle. It was a full house with lots of laughter and fun! The kids got lots of fun stuff, too much to remember. Santa was so nice to them. (I need to find these pictures...)

Dec 31, Malin's sister Janae got married in the Mesa Arizona Temple to Matt Anderson of St David, AZ . What a beautiful sealing and wedding.! All the little girl cousins had matching tutu's , made by their wonderful mothers :) And the little boys had matching bow ties.

New Years was spent in Maricopa at Nelson and Kelsey's Hotel....I mean home. :) Had a fun Dartboard tournament and ate too much food.

January has been filled with many things.

Here's a highlight of what's been going on:

Mommy started Ground Campus classes( instead of online courses) at UOP. It has saved her life. She goes every Tuesday night from 6 to 10. She just finished a nutrition course and is now in a intro to film class.
Savannah and Aubrey are busy in school. They amaze me at how well they are exceling. Aubrey received the fairness award in her class. She's a sweetie. She has straight A's in her class. Savannah is doing great in school as well. She's getting better at math and reading, and always loves when she understand the concept without mom's help. Both girls are excited to start Scrapbooking club in February.
Sarah turned 27 on Jan. 14th, and was showered with a heart attack on her doorstep by some dear friends. She also received many phone calls, FB greetings, and love from her children and husband. Malin surprised her with a stay at the Hyatt and a concert of Jake Shimabokuru in the Orpheum. Jake is a world renowned ukulele player....wow he's very good. We also enjoyed eating at Cibo's in Phoenix, a small pizza eatery. SO GOOD. And we had a fun 3 mile run through downtown Phoenix. It was so FUN and Relaxing! Went too fast! Little Malin turned the big 3 on Jan 29th. He had a football cake and loved every minute of his party with his cousins at the park. He got dinosaurs and a wolverine costume, and fun boy toys!!(I will insert picks here.....)
Little Malin also does preschool with his cousin emma and Carson on Tuesday and Thursday.
Daddy had a very severe case of bladder infection and was down for a good 4 days. Poor guy. We're so grateful he's all better!
Sav and Aub started dance class with Miss Jeanette and LOVE IT!! They have some good friends in their classes, lexi williams and netalia masters. Savannah says she can't show us hte dance they're learning...until the recital. It's a surprise, she says.
Little Ashlyn adds to the wonderful chaos with her little hands into everything. Oh, but she's a cute little mess, that's for sure.
Friday date nights are always a treat for mom and dad. We had dinner together, went shopping, watched some movies, and exercised. Good bonding times with the ones we love the most.
Aubrey started piano lessons with her aunt Esther!! Yeah!!
Acquire every Sunday with Lewis family always guarantees a good stress reliever.

I know this is very vague, so I will do better at doing a weekly blog entry so I can remember more details. That's our month! Please pray our home loan modification will work out for us.

Frank Dewey Nelson Reunion

On June 13th, we got to attend the Frank Dewey and Beverly Davis Reunion in Gilbert, Az. It was short and sweet. Grandma Nelson was so happy to have all her posterity in attendance . She was beaming from ear to ear.

It was also Grandma Nelson's birthday so all the GReat Grandkids made a banner and walked out while singing happy birthday. Grandma LOVED it to say the least.

Chickens and Garden. Jun12, 2009

June was a great month for reaping the rewards of our hardwork. We had 6 chickens laying eggs and had a ball hunting for eggs every morning. We had a chicken that layed HUGE eggs and a chicken that wasn't so fertile. You can see what I mean in the pic below.

Aubrey loved looking for eggs with mom. Here's a dozen we got in 2 days.!

Our Stake Garden just exploded with produce...we had SO much vegetables!! It was a great feeling. If you want to feel successful at a garden, plant tomatoes and zucchini. In the back is green peppers, perfect for hot salsa.....mmmmm

Zucchini was coming out of our ears! We gave all this away at our family reunion later in the month.

Our Hidden Park.....shhhh June 10th, 09

Oh June 10th, 2009 we found a hidden treasure in Maricopa. Maricopaites, if you want in on the secret, talk to me. I won't reveal the secret on the internet.:) This hidden secret is the coolest, biggest, awesomest park in MAricopa. And it sits in the back of an unfinished subdivision in Maricopa. Imagine that, and unfinished subdivision in Maricopa. But this park is HUGE. and it has more swings that Pacana Park. And it's covered! We found it on the 9th, and the 10th we packed a lunch and came back to play!! The girls went all out and brought their cinderella tea set to use for utensils and plates. And even shared their things with Malin. We used only what we had in our kitchen at the time, beans, sandwiches, grapes, chips and water. :) It was so fun!!

This was Aubrey's first Dance Recital and she was a little nervous. She did SO good and made her mom and dad proud. She was very excited about her goody bag she got after it was all over....it was FULL of princess things. Her teacher always said Aubrey was the one to show how each move was to be done and she oftened used Aubrey as the example of how to do a new move. That's my little perfectionist Aubrey. love you Aubrey!!

ON May 24th, 09...mommy took her three girls to the movies. Just the girls! Daddy and Malin were in Ajo helping the Lewis's move. We had a great time and LOVED the Hannah Montana Movie! So clean, inspiring and motivating! Mommy is tickled pink when she gets to spend some fun time with the girls she loves the MOST.

The day after Leisel's graduation, Grandma said she would watch this little bundle so we could....Drive towards this......Which turned into this.....And hope we didn't get this.....( obviously, we got a HUGE nail in our tire...ugh)so we could climb up this..... And slide down this!!

We also got a new Boxer puppy while in Thatcher.... named her Hollis. She's a pure bred boxer. WE LOVE THIS DOG. she is part of our family.

Uncle Lamar kept us entertained on the Motorcycle. Baby Malin kept saying MOTORCYCLE the whole time!!!He love motorcycles, to say the least!!

( for the record, Baby Malin was terrified of Hollis when we first got her. Now(6 months later), she LOVES Hollis and tackles her to ground and giver her kisses when she obeys his command to SIT. Man's best friend, I tell ya.)

Newport Beach May 16th, 2009

May 16th, we decided a family trip was way overdue, so we made a last minute decision, got a cheap hotel on priceline.com and headed to Newport beach, CA. The weather was perfect as you can see in the pictures. We stayed in the Crowne Plaza Resort in Irvine, CA. It had a fun indoor pool. Unforunately, no Cont. Breakfast, which was advertised that there was one on Priceline. We were able to go with Grandpa Innes, and Aunts Leisel, Jill, Ty and uncle Lamar and his cute wife Chelsea. Grandma Innes was gone on her sisters retreat. We missed her!! The girls had fun gettting some new matching glasses on the boardwalk. WE LOVE Cali. Love it. The pictures explain how much fun we had.

Savannah Kindergarten and Aubrey Preschool Graduation!

May was a crazy month the end of school events and summer approaching. Savannah graduated from Kindergarten on June 6th and had an awesome ceremony. It was cute, but probably a little overboard for only graduating from Kindegarten. She got to wear a cap and gown, and receive a diploma. It was pretty official. Aubrey also graduated from Preschool on May and had a fun informal party at the Villages Splash Pad to celebrate. She made a t-shirt with all the kids handprints and signature on the shirt. Thanks to Andrea Smith for getting that all organized!

Malin and Aubrey had their final Music Makers performance. They where so cute and did their solos so well. This was Malin's first performance and we was smiling from ear to ear the entire time.

Grandma Nelson's House April 24th

Malin's brother Nelson and his wife Kelsey and 2, almost three, kids are living with Grandma Nelson in Phoenix. We took a little trip to visit them and help grandma pick her orange tree. The kids had a ball climbing her fruit trees and playing with cousin Carson. Malin especially loves playing with his fun boy cousins. I can't believe how much I love my family.

Baby Malin misbehaved so we put him in timeout. First time in timeout. He quickly obeyed. We told him to close his eyes, he did. We told him to bow his head, he did. We told him to count to five, he tried. We HAD to get a picture. It was just too cute.CLARIFICATION UPDATE 5/10: Baby Malin is such a good kid. I don't want anyone to think bad of my sweet little Malin. It was just SO cute that he obeyed everything I told him to do. I need to post another video of his spunkiness. He IS SO SPUNKY. AHH! And just for the record, he has a hard time obeying when I ask him to go in timeout now. He's learning it's not a very fun place to be. The first time was fun, but not anymore.

The Saturday before, Our cousin Nickie Keeler got baptized. She lives in Tempe. After the baptism, there was a huge Rainbow outside. It was perfect. You can barely see it in the pic below. After the rainbow left, all the kids were outside chanting "Come back Rainbow, comeback rainbow." Too funny. I'm grateful they didn't catch a cold from running in the rain barefoot.

Easter Pagent 2009

I loved the Easter Pagent this year. It always motivates me to be a better person. The pagent started at 8:00 pm, we got there at 4 pm and gto 5th row seats and then just played on the grass for 4 hours. The kids were very good, I was grateful for that. Baby Malin was very honory when it started and once he saw all the people on stage, specifically, he was all the sudden quiet and in a trance. The kids loved it. They talk about it all the time. Baby Malin thinks that Jesus lives up high at the Temple. We need to reteach that concept here in the next year. 2nd counselo in our bishopric and his wife were in the pagent. Can't wait til next year!

Savannah started Soccer this April and has had fun learning what it means to be on a team. She is getting the hang of it. She is on a really great team with many people from our church, I think everyone on the team is LDS. This helps her to feel comfortable with what she's doing. Aubrey had the option to be on the team because she is four, but she insisted that she wanted to do Dance. I will have pictures of her soon in her tutu and all. She loves to be girly and dress up in her tutu. Thanks to some wonderful friends who know how to make adorable tutu's. You know who you are:)

Baby Malin is my cute little 2 year old. He cracks me up all day with his cute little voice, which is very low and raspy, and he always ask everyone, " What dooney?"(What are you doing?) He loves to tell you, "I like you, I do!" I taught him how to show his muscles and say "I'm tough!" He loves to look in the mirror and say I'm Handsome." He LOVES motorcycles and can spot one any where on the road. Below he's throwing a fit. Gotta love those 2 year old fits that are so cute you wanna bust up in tears of laughter.

Aubrey February and March 2009

Aubrey's world centers around her mommy. She knows what 0+0 equals! She LOVES to read books with mommy. She is a sensitive one and very aware of her surroundings. She loved the stickers and lip gloss she got for Valentines. She had a great time planting a garden with mom and dad! We had the opportunity of planting a garden at a brothers farm in our stake. He opened up lots in his farm to help the stake fulfill our goal of being prepared. Aubrey also loves to be happy and always wants to do something engaging and full of learning. She had a fun time at Arizona GRand Resort for SPring Break. On February 16th Savannah and Aubrey played in the water on the trampoline. Only in Arizona! She had a fun time with her aunts who came to stay for a couple days in February in preparation for Ashlyn's blessing. She recently got her 4 year old shots and didn't even cry. I'm so proud of her. Unfortunately,she has 8 cavities and has to get dental work done on April 21st. But she loved her experience at the dentist. She got a cool new toothbrush from the dentist. One day mom decided to not clean the house and instead put the babies to bed and paint outside with her girlies. AUBREY WAS SO HAPPY. She painted a beautiful rainbow and learned the colors of the rainbow. She loved the zoo during SPring Break and asked so many questions about the animals. Like why do Flamingos not fall over when they stand on one leg...... and don't monkeys get tired on their arms? She enjoyed singing with her family at church ,"I love to see the temple" and made her mom and daddy cry when we practiced it at home. She is a pure joy and definitely keeps mom and dady referring back to the "Parenting Guide" She recently started dance class and asks everyday if its time for dance class. We love our petite,, no buns, little Aubrey!!

Savannah February and March 2009

Savannah has been busy! She is doing well in School and was on the Principal Pride (or Honor Roll). She lost her first tooth on Valentines Day Morning. What an event!! She had a fun time at the Arizona Grand Resort with her family and the Innes Family. She also had a good time at the Zoo for Spring Break. She is getting very good at reading and reciting her phonograms, and is learning how to add and subtract. She turned 6 on March 3, and got a camera! Yeah!(thanks to woot.com) Her friend recently hurt her leg and she was SO worried about her. She made cookies for her and took them to her house and gave her some cute cards that she made all by herself. She told mom she was learning how to be a friend. She is SUPER DUPER at cleaning her room and knows how to organize it as good as mom(that's amazing.)

Well, I'm finally back. I realized I haven't posted about what our family is up to since February 18th. It's been a long time! I am finished with my Biological Foundations of Psychology. It's been a whrilwind. I had an atheist class mate that was very hard to handle. He wanted to prove everything with a scientific method. It was a testimony builder for me that there are somethings in this life that cannot be proved with a scientific method, but rather we believe them because we have faith. And that is sufficient for me. The Lord is Perfect and therefore his works are perfect. What a blessing it is to know that. So our family is a bundle of emotions and a wonderful blessing in mine and Malin's life. We have been busy the past couple months. Here comes a lot of posts with lots of pictures!

A Random Post

K, this is so Random. I don't know what I'm going to write about. But I just need to write. Life is great! I feel like I'm getting more comfortable in my skin. Except for the baby bulge that won't go away. I'm not pregnant any more, good grief! Why do I still look it! My kids are absolutely adorable. I love them. I love my all-to-easy to-please husband. Eaxample: he eat dinner last night with a HUGE roast fork and was TOTALLY ok with it. I love him. In no particular order, here is what has been on my mind today. -I'm SO bummed we can't go camping in Cali this weekend because of bad weather. We even had to pay 7.00 cancellation fee for our reservations. But I'm happy that I don't have to pack up my whole house now. Yippee for that! - I need to lose 20 lbs. or more ..ugh....Someone please give me some motivation. I NEED IT. Maybe I should do a colon cleanse or something. HA! - I love my backyard. Today the girls and I painted rainbows outside in the backyard while the 2 youngest were asleep. I played with my kids instead of cleaning and my girls were floored. - I get to clean all day tomorrow. -This weather ROCKs. - I love the women in my ward. They are super fun and cute, and beautiful and inspiring and I can't wait for the next time and when I get to have GIRL time. -I won Ms. Ugly Dress at the Ugly Dress party. She's so chunky. -I have THE CUTEST SMARTEST KIDS. -I want to go dancing at a really awesome dance club...a clean one ofcourse. -k, I really like chicken and rice. -Animal Control finally caught that blasted stray cat that roams around our neighborhood and actually gave birth in our neighbors backyard. She's a "floozy" -I found Baby Malin a brand new white Church shirt for 2 dollars at a yard sale. Thank goodness I didn't buy the same one at JC Penney's for $20 the day before!. -I love being around positive people! I went to humanitarian night tonight at Terrell Hoffman's house and it was wonderful! I had my mommy time!. -I'm sick of this economy and foreclosures in our neighborhood. Can't I just go buy the $100,000 4,000 sq ft home down the street. Everyone else is doing it?UGH. -I just started Biological Foundations of Psychology online class. Sounds hard huh? Wish me Luck! - My husband is so easy to please....oh yeah I already said that. Well he is. He's a man and I love all of my man. He's wonderful for me. He keeps me humble. I like to think I know it all.....and he reminds that I REALLY don't know it all. Ya think? -I'm tired.

Well I just wanted to change the top post on my blog. Ashlyn isn't sick anymore! She's one healthy, chubby, adorable baby. And I couldn't be happier. She is pure joy.

We are doing good here. Trugging along and trying to enjoy the journey, not just endure it!

I just have one question for you all:

"How do I give all my attention to all 4 kids at the same time?And continue to do it all day?

Ashlyn + Bronchiolitis= one sick baby

Ashlyn was in the hospital for 5 days with Bronchiolitis! She was a sick little baby. I took her to the doctor on Baby Malin's b0day, after his party, and her oxygen level was very low. So the doctor ordered an amulance and we were taken to the Banner Gateway Medical center. I'm grateful to say she is 100% better and doing so well. The hospital stay was hardest on our kids who didn't have a mommy for 5 days. Thank heavens for wonderful sister in laws and Grandmas and Grandpas, and ultimately a super awesome daddy. Ashlyn and I were buddy buddies in the hospital. We watched a lot of TV, awaited the next meal. Well, I did. She nursed whenever she wanted to. And we slept a lot. I also got alot of school work done. It was a break for Ashlyn and MOMMY. Ashlyn had an IV on both wrists, oxygen in her little nose and a pullsock on her toe to monitor her heart rate and oxygen levels. Every for hours she was given a breathing treatment and I was given the option of whether to deep suction her lungs or not. She did get her lungs deep suctioned a few times, which was not a pretty sight, but it HELPED tremendously. She left the hospital totally healed and I am so grateful that I have my baby back. For a whole week I sat up holding her all night, for fear that she would check on the mucus in her lungs if she was laid flat. I am so grateful for healthy babies. Thanks a MILLION to everyone that helped our family in a time of need. We want to return the favors in any way possible.

This past weekend we( Dad did all the work and we gave moral support) built a chicken coop! Our chickens are growing so fast and they were flying out the big rectangle box that we had them in so we knew it was time to get the coop built. It was a great experience! Malin loved it. He's worked with Uncle Clyde building houses so doing this brought fond memories of building houses. He now wants to build a play house for the kids. That should be FUN!!!

Baby Malin is 2! He said "My Birthday" all day long! We scored on his presents......2.00 spiderman big wheel and 25 cents for the backpack. Gotta love those yard sales! He rode that bike around the kitchen island ALLDAY with his backpack on. Daddy even found him riding his bike around the island at 1:30 in the morning. He never ceases to melt his mom and daddy's heart.

We started a tradition last year to go hiking on Martin Luther King Day. Last year we hiked a really short mountain. So this year we picked a little higher mountain and we recruited our neighbors and family, The Wilcocks! It was a great time and just right for the girls to hike and not get tired. Malin went on an over night hunt with some friends from our ward....so I took my first trip with all 4 kids to Thatcher. It was a great relaxing time. We played outside in the leaves, saw the chickens,played in the canal, watcher Leisel and Jillian cheer at Bball game, and made bows!!

New Years Day we met with the Lewis family in Tempe for family pictures. I got some snapshots with my camera but Aunt Duraye got some great shots professionally. Then we all stayed at the church in Tempe for the New Years festivities. IT was so fun! And my first time playing B-Ball since the baby was born. It was a great feeling to not have a baby in the tummy. This picture is a tradition...every November.

Lamar went and did it! He drove my parents crazy and got married 8 weeks after he got home from his mission AND 2 days after Christmas. Yes, he is married!! And he couldn't have picked a better bride. WE love her. And she knows how to cute hair too:) Next sibling that gets married...please don't do it 4 weeks after I have a baby.. The camera isn't nice. Leisel, that would be you.:) All in all, it was a good day. Not as bad as I was planning on. The baby didn't get sick. She's a hefty little thing....The kids were tired by the end of the day. We ended up getting a hotel and relaxing there for the night. That was a nice treat to a long day.

AFter the sealing we went to a luncheon til 3 and then we drove to Tucson for a Reception. Chelsea is from Tucson.

The anticipation was almost too much to handle. Here's all the kids lined up in order from youngest to oldes. Notice no Aubrey, she was still snoozing and we had to wake her up....she wasn't happy. Mind you it was 6 AM and I wanted to be snoozing too! But not on Christmas MOrning....no way! He's a combo of " Say Cheese", what time is it?, what's happening so early in the morning?, and "I want some Lolo" (cereal)

We got most of the footage on Our regular video camera, which I haven't figured out how to transfer to the blog...you get the idea.The girls had a great Christmas! Savannah got a MyPod and Fancy Nancy, Aubrey got a kid laptop and Twin Dolls, Malin got a race track, big truck and lost of balls,...plus other fun stuff for everyone... The big gift was a WII!!!!!!

Christmas Day was a great memory! We ate alot, sat around talked about the good old days........ played games, had a wonderful scripture study. Dad shared some personal stories of tender mercies that left us all wanting to be better people. He's a wonderful man that follows the spirit. Although the house was chaos....it was definately worth the memories. Thanks Dayna and Glen for being the tough ones and sleeping in a tent out in the pool house.....:) We love our family. Christmas was a good one. Loved every minute of it!! We made the trek to Ajo on the 23rd and the party began!! We were so spoiled by the Mom and Dad Lewis. They gave us their room with a King size bed and wouldn't let us be in charge of any meals. It was a blessing to not have to worry about food with a 3 week old baby. There was a total of 34 people there. ZOO!!! We welcomed home dad from his truck run on Christmas and then we all headed to the church for nativity, talent show, and lunch.

My sweetheart Malin, turned 29 on December 12. I surprised him by inviting all his siblings to meet us at Serrano's for a surprise party. I was successful and kept it a secret!! He was much appreciative, as he is with everything else in his life. Every year I gain more love for him, and I am so grateful he still loves me, despite my faults and weaknesses. Here are a few reasons why I love him: 1. He is extremely handsome, even with the extra pounds of love he has gained in the past 7 years. 2. He is very positive about everything in his life. 3. He has a strong desire to be obedient in every area of his life. 4. He makes me laugh and forget my worries just when I need it the most. 5. He works hard so I can stay home and be there for our children. 6. He knows how to get our kids to step outside the box......sometimes only a dad can do that. 7. He has wonderful hands. They are so manly. I love his hands. 8. He makes a mean omelet. 9. He has a contagious laugh. 10. He is passionate. 11. He loves to be with his family. 12. He honors his priesthood. 13. When the kids came home from Ajo, they came running in to see the baby. These are the pictures from that first meeting of baby and children at home. They are in love with her. Aubrey often says, "Mom, I can't stop smiling." I ask her why and she says, " Because that girl(referring to Ashlyn) is SOOOOO cute." Baby Malin was so intrigued by her.

Life is very interesting around our house these days. You're probably wondering how we're doing?! Well I never thought I could be so unbelievably busy yet be so happy all at the same time. Although I am up all hours of the night, and then have to wake up at 6 AM to be out the door by 7 to get Savannah to school, I AM EXTREMELY grateful that my husband still has a good paying secure job that provides for our growing family. Iheard on the news that there is 537,000 people unemployed. WOW that is a staggering number. I am grateful. Let me tell why I'm a little nervous also. So, you remember my post awhile ago about my brother Lamar coming home from his mission. What a great kid he is.Well..... He's engaged. To be married. On Dec. 27th. Yep, the lucky girl is Chelsea. She's a sweetheart. And the reason I'm nervous is because my baby will be appx 28 days old. In the middle of RSV season. And I've only had 28 days to recover. Pray for us. On to other things.... Savannah is a wiz kid in school. She can say phonograms like no other. She loves reciting poems. AND SHE'S SUPER DUPER excited for her Christmas Music Concert Next week. She sings her songs all day. She is especially into "fancy" clothes as she describes them, and loves getting dressed up. She always surprises me with her common sense comments. Aubrey is my fireball. Never a dull moment with her these days. I can tell she has had the hardest time adjusting to baby Ashlyn. She needs a little extra attention these days. She is extrememly into crafts and always asks when she can do the next craft. SHE loves, loves, loves preschool. She is always asking me how things work and why the sky is blue and not green.?! She is a thinker and I know she will be successful when she grows up because of her strong will to learn new things. She can write her full name and always asks me how to write words. She loves to watch Savannah do her homework and learn from her as well. Baby Malin, where do I begin? He is nonstop! That little boy is a crack up!! He loves to hold the baby. He says " Hold ha". He's ALWAYS kissing her. I'm surprised Ashlyn isn't sick yet because of Malin's running nose always in her face. I found him looking through Daddy's tool magazine looking for "big trucks" and making all the sound effects. Made his daddy proud. the first thing he says when he wakes up is "lo lo" which means cereal. Daddy, works hard. Did I mention he WORKS HARD? He is wonderful. I love him so much. I don't say it enough. I LOVE HIM. If you saw the post he wrote about me, then you know how wonderful he is. His happiness is contagious. He is always striving to perfect himself. He always cracks me up with his silly comments. He likes to tease. Sometimes I have to remind him that he can't joke with the kids so much because they take it serious. I think he learned that trait from growing up with a house full of girls. His brother's the same way.( Love ya Nelson:) But somedays all I need is Malin's sense of humor to remind me how easy I have it . Tomorrow is Malin's birthday.....I'll let you know how it goes when it's over....... Other odd facts I want to write down: We turned our garage into a play room. It's still a work in progress, but it does the job for now.....and that is keep all the toys in one spot. My brother Ryan just finished recording the theme song for EFY 2009. It's called the "The Gift" and he sings a duet with Jennifer Jordan Frogley. Tell all your teenage friends that Sarah Lewis's brother is on the EFY CD. I'm famous now right??...... I have an ANGEL that lives behind me. Her name is Esther and she is wonderful. She has saved me so many times. I am so grateful that they moved by us. (they meaning Esther and Jesse, our bro and sis) Just today she took Baby Malin while the girls where at school so I could take a much needed nap. I love you ESTHER!! I have wonderful friends who have helped me out so much with the recovery of my delivery!! I love you all!! I have an Angel Mother!! She is wonderful! She came and stayed with us and did SO much for me. I love you mom!!! I have wonderful in laws who watched the kids for us while we were in the hospital and a few days after..They are Angels too!!!thanks you guys!! And thank you to everyone for your nice comments on my last post. Eventually, I will add the birthstory to it.....so keep checking. oh, and I just heard on the radio today that sugar has the same effects on your body that drug abuse has on your body. Wo, that's scary. So, I AM STOPPING ALL SUGAR. NO MORE SUGAR.

Because of the soon arrival of our fourth child, we decided to stay at home and have our very own Thanksgiving. It was so fun! Lots of great memories were made. We truly enjoyed being with just our little kiddos. We had Thanksgiving dinner at 10 AM, yes 10 AM, and then enjoyed the rest of the day playing with our kiddos. We watched a fun movie together, and we went to the park. And our fun Daddy even went down the slide a dozen times. We made a train on the curb and helped mommy walk the curb with hopes that our little bundle in mommy's tummy would decide to come. All that did was cause sore calves!:) Ha! It was a first time for us to be with just our little family for a big holiday like Thanksgiving. Both Malin and I both come from big families so we're used to LOTS of family, and we thought this day would be lonely with just our family, BUT, not the case! It was a treat to spend all day with justour kiddos and have no agenda and no where to go. Our children were in heaven.

All the Students including my very own Savannah......she is ready to really start this next semester.....her interest in piano has really peaked lately. I had the Recital at Aunt Esther's house.....she lives right behind us. It was perfect. Thanks Esther ad Jesse! We are so grateful for you. I gave each student a certificate and also a huge symphony bar with the saying, " Since you do so well at playing symphony's with your hands, you deserve to have fun EATING symphony's with your hands." They all did so well. I had a student that was asked to accompany for the High School choir, so I helped him with all the songs, some very hard, and he had some special guests from the choir come and sing while he accompanied......accompanying is SO different that performing.

On November 14th Aubrey reached the ripe old age of FOUR. She feels so big and can now do so many things JUST because she's four. She got to eat pink sparkle pancakes on the red birthday plate for breakfast. We had to do it early because Savannah leaves so early for school......7 AM. She was SO excited about pink pancakes!

She got one present that morning from MOm and Dad.......Cinderella Polly Pocket! She loves Cinderella. She will get the rest of her presents at her birthday party on Nov. 15th.

This is Savannah's first day at Big Girl Preschool....she has grown so much since this picture. I love my little sweetheart, especially when she gives me hugs unexpectedly and tells me she loves me. So I LOVE YARD SALING. Yet, I never blog about my finds. This one is worth blogging about.

So I got three of these dusty old frames at a yard sale. They are solid wood, homemade, with plaxy glass so it's safe for children. I got ALL of them for a whopping 1.00 TOTAL. So I was determined to make them our own. We got the pictures from Uncle Wick and I got them blown up for 4.00. Then I bought some black paint. I painted the frames black, made the picture mats with black construction paper that I painted black to match the frames and.........scroll down to see the final......I made a master piece!!!!

We planted our winter grass again and it is growing like weeds! Malin got some great shots of baby Malin totally engrossed in the grass. Miss Savannah was peeping Tom over the fence. We had to have a little talk about not looking over the fence at our neighbors.

Miss Attitude Santa Girl.........We got the Christmas decor down and she just had to wear the hat. And wear else can you wear a santa hat, a skirt and short sleeve shirt all at the same time in the month of December?

These two are so loveable. I love it. Notice my new chair. I got it at Savers for 15 bucks! I love the good deals. And here's a sneak peek at our Christmas Decor. This is a part of the Snowman Collection. It looks really neat at night when we turn on the lights that are hidden under the fake snow. Every year I buy 1 snowman, and if people give me more, then yeah!! This year I found 3 at yard sales and spent a total 4.00. I feel good about that price for a small collection of mine :)

For Co-op Preschool we combined a few small co-ops and had a huge party!! Thanks to Jen Mix, who has a degree in Party Planning, it was such a huge success! Tons of yummy food, fun games, crafts and cuteness!

You try to eat the donut without using your hands while it's dangling from a string. Really fun and easy!!

Savannah had a Halloween Festival for her Kindergarten class and she had so much fun! I got to come for the party and help out. We made Monster Hands(out of popcorn and candy corns), decorated cupcakes, and painted autumn leaves. Savannah told me she was so glad that her mommy got to come and help out. After a 10 day vacation at Grandma and Grandpa's house...we definately had some catching up to do!! Savannah started early morning Kindergarten at 7:30 on Oct 13th. That was a big adjustment! Especially for me, I'm not a morning person. We have adjusted well since then. She goes until 10:30. We love it. Just the right amount of time for a Kindergartener. We were excited to be in our own beds again.

I also started my first official UOP Psychology class on Oct 14th. It's great! I have a 98 .8 % in the class with one week to go!(Ends Nov. 17th)

The Following weekend Malin went on his First Offical Elk Scout Hunt with some of his good friends from Ajo. The Moore Brothers(great guys), and his brother Nelson and Brother in law Glen Jackson. On Tuesday before the hunt(the 14th) we went to Cabela's to get some last minute things for his hunt. The girls ofcourse had to post for a picture.

I will try to get some pictures of his hunt. Hopefully someone else took some.

It was a wonderful day as we gathered with Family to celebrate Lamar's Mission Homecoming. What a wonderful missionary he was! He is still SILLY Lamar. But more spiritual. Fall Break in Thatcher Part2: Oct. 6th to Oct. 11th

What a fun week we had hanging out with Uncle Lamar and catching up on the last two years. He and Baby Malin were buds from the beginning. Lamar was gone when Malin was born. Some of the fun things we did were

1) We went out to eat everyday AH!!

2) Mom and girls got their haircut!

3) Baby Malin endured the haircut from Mommy.

4) We got the kiddos pictures taken by Uncle Wick www.wicklewis.com

5) We had a great FHE with Uncle Lamar.

6) Helped Lamar get back to normal.....he was scared of girls.

7) We ate lunch with our Grandpa, Doctor Innes, at the Hospital Cafeteria, compliments of Doc Innes. YUM!

8) We watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua with Drew and Rikki. the Dumbest movie EVER. The kids loved it though!And the theater popcorn was totally worth it.

9) Practiced singing together with the SISTERS. YEAH!

AND..........

We went to the Graham County FAIR!! So fun!!! Friday(the 10th) and Saturday(11th) where spent there.

Fall Break in Thatcher Part 1: Oct. 2nd to Oct 5,08

After Savannah finished school on Oct 1, we packed up and drove to Thatcher. We went to help the Innes girls with Homecoming, and take care of Aunt Tylynn who had Mono Nucleus. The kids were so excited to go to Grandma Innes house after a long time of not going there. We were also SO excited as Uncle Lamar would be arriving home from his mission with mom and dad on Oct 5th!!

The first highlight of our trip was watching Leisel and Jillian perform in Homecoming. The theme was Robin Hood men in tights, and the dance team were the princesses.

The best part of it all was Leisel was crowned Homecoming Queen!!!Even better, Jillian was crowned Freshman homecoming Queen! I was so proud of my little sisters.

Thank you Uncle Wick!(He's the same uncle that took our kids adorable pictures in a previous post.) Savannah, Leisel, Aubrey and Jillian at the Homcoming game. Unfortunately, they didn't win.

The next day, Saturday, was spent cleaning the house for Lamar and getting his room ready. The kids had a fun time helping Leisel wash her car. Too cute. Here's some pics of lamar and Mom and dad in Argentina.

My Wife is Amazing!

I never get on the blog to post. My wife is so good at keeping everyone updated on what is happening in our life. I just wanted to get on here quickly and let everyone in the whole world how much I appreciate my wife. She is the best. She is the taxi mom taking kids to school, music makers, visiting teaching, choir, teaching piano students, cleaning the house, waters the grass, clean up more little children's messes, fixes almost every meal (I try to help out when I can), attends class online every night, laundry, folds laundry, makes the bed (only because I am not home to make the bed with her), reads her scriptures, says her prayers, helps Savannah and Aubrey with school work, and she does all of this while she is 8 months pregnant. She even finds time to give her husband complements. Wow she is amazing. I don't know what I would do without her. I never thought in my whole life that I would meet such and amazing person, wife, child of god. The lord truly guided me to my soul mate. She is amazing in every way. I love you Sarah.

Hi everyone! YES, I am still here. AND NO, I haven't had my baby yet. I am measuring at 36 weeks. So 4 weeks left is sounding pretty good to me!! I am in the middle of writing about the last three weeks, so stay tuned, it is coming soon! Pretty soon it's going to the "month of October "POST!! I am in the middle of finishing up a big team paper for my online schooling. That should explain the reason I haven't posted in3 weeks! It's killing me!

The excitement inside me is just too much to handle. My baby brother is coming home for his two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in ONE WEEK. This morning at 4 AM, Malin drove my parents to the airport for their departure to ARgentina to PICK HIM UP!!!! WOW!!! What an exciting time! Here's a picture of them this morning leaving our house.....they asked me if I wanted to come along....in my pink robe , half open eyes and crooked glasses. HA!

I will go to Thatcher this weekend to help my sister in her Senior Homecoming. She is kind of sad that my parents aren't there but glad that I can come and video tape and help her get ready for Royalty!!. She's on the Student Body and V.P. so is goin crazy planning.planning, planning. Lamar will come home on Sunday and drive to Thatcher with my parents and arrive Sunday night at 10 PM. Ahh can't wait!!!!

I also love my parents. They are so service oriented. My Mom was just called as the Relief Society President. She's been in Primary her whole life until now. She is doing a great job. She is so good about visiting the elderly. She's a wonderful example to me.

My Dad is in the Bishopric and often uplifts and inspires me. He also takes care of our family....he's a doctor. So I can call him when I need something(prescriptions) and save myself a trip to the doctor's offce. hehehe. He lets me know when I should freak out or chill out about illnesses. He doesn't do it all the time though....I dont' want to get him in trouble. If it's a serious illness, he makes us go see a doctor. I'm so grateful for the many talks with my dad in my teenage years when I was.....well, a teenager. He really loves me:) just kidding.......I'm not the favorite child.....just one of them. He taught me how to love life. and you have to "Work Hard, Play hard." Mom and Dad, please come home alive and bring us some souvenirs.......and Lamar!!!

Co-op Preschool Sept 23 and 25th

It was my week to teach Preschool and it was a great success!! The theme for the month was Our Country. First week was our nation, second week was our state, third week was our city, and my week was Our Neighborhood. We sang song about "The people in our Neighborhood" and had each child dress up as a different occupation and learned a little about them. Savannah is still in half day for the time being(it's a long story, brand new school, expansion not done yet........) so she is my helper. She loves it.

Claire was the baker. Christian was the Farmer Aubrey was a Doctor. Savannah was the Dentist.Kohler was the bus driver.

We also learned about the Letter D and the number 4. Right after Preschool we have to rush out the door to pick up carpool and take Savannah to school. Then it's home and time for NAP TIME!!

The week of September 15, 2008

I found Savannah reading Aubrey a story on trampoline on Monday before FHE. She loves to play school now that she's in school. Every tuesday night we watch Elias and Emma Wilcock. Here's a pic of Elias and Malin playing toys. Silly Malin with his eyes closed. Elias is so squishy. We can't get enough of him!! Wednesdays I teach piano all day....Home schoolers in the morning and publischoolers in the after noon. Esther watches my kids most of the time...thank goodness. Malin does school at night. So Wednesday's we usually eat out. Thus night we ordered BArro's pizza so mommy could finish her homework. Yum!! Sometimes we have Grandpa Lewis stay the night for Stake meetings. We love having him visit. Thursday is our veg day. Just school and a few piano lessons. Aubrey goes to preschool on Thursdays and tuesdays too. She LOVES that. Next post is about Preschool! Friday is date night co-op. This is 30 minutes before we were supposed to leave and everyone was asleep....I almost went on a date by myself....gratefully my husband woke up and took me to the best Elder's Quorum Party Ever?!!:)

Leaf and Feather Farm....and the Monkey 9/12

ON 9/12 we went to the Leaf and Feather Farm in Papago Farms behind Maricopa. It's a great nursery complete with all kinds of plants that thrive in Arizona and birds that sing and talk to you......and it has a monkey. Don't know why, but I just feel so bad for the monkey. No eternal mate to call his own. He's stuck in a cage all day. He rocks himself to sleep with his blanket(sign of a skitzo frantic monkey) and he is not afraid of you. Below Malin is feeding "Jack" a Fruit loop. If you can remember, he's the same breed as the annoying Monkey on Night at the Museum. He was pretty entertaining. It was so funny to see him stick his humanlike fingers throught the cage and grab the food. The KIDS LOVED HIM. We went with Esther and Jesse and they bought some great Orange trees for their backyard. We plan to do so after we get our winterd grass planted for the season......hopefully in 2 weeks. Our back yard looks like a mudhole at the moment. :)

The following little blurb describes all the thoughts that have been going through my head...... In a perfect world ....... there are no dirty toilets. and no dirty kitchen floors. And no fighting children. No bills to pay No cars that break down. NO dirty dishes. NO never-ending laundry to fold No junk food that always seems to make it's way into your house. NO need to sleep from sleep deprivation and no weeds in your yard. BUT..... In a perfect world there is also: a wonderful husband for every wife. cute kids for every family. The Church of Jesus CHrist of Latter-Day Saints Joy that comes from hearing your child laugh. Family that is supportive in everything we do. Happiness in the most important things in life Eternal life. I'm glad that I have a piece of a Perfect World, despite the fact that I still live with all the negatives that come from not living in a Perfect World. It's easy for me to think that I have it hard because I'm pregnant for the 5th time in 6 years, or that I can't remember the last time I got a full nights sleep or watched a movie the whole way through. But oh my goodness, what do I have to complain about? I am healthy, I get to see my husband and kids EVERYDAY, I get be their mom everyday, I get to live in a nice home with all the ammenities that I easily take for granted, and I can have ice cream any day of the week?!! At least I'm not strapped to a bed in an induced coma so I can be kept alive. Why do I have to be reminded every day that I don't have it hard? So what if I feel really fat and want to be done being pregnant..........it's a wonderful blessing that I can be pregnant. So many woman can't get pregnant and I can breath and get pregnant......seriously:) I never want to take another day for granted because I'm "tired" or "my house is dirty". I will be grateful that I am tired from soothing a crying child or that my house is cluttered because I have the cutest kids ever. Life is great and I wouldn't have it any other way. Motherhood and wifehood is truly a blessing that I will not take for granted. Everyday is a gift. I am a happy MOTHER in Zion. And that is truly something to cheer about.

So, it's been a while.....I know. Life is full of fun and busy times. We have had a great past couple weeks. Savannah is doing great in School. All A's! She's passed her first two phonogram tests with 100%. She has to learn 70 phonograms. It helps that we are in a carpool so she has someone to walk to the playground with when I drop her off. She loves mommy to do her hair and she loves showing me all her homework. We just ordered some books from Scholastic Book Fair. Only $1 each!

I am doing very well in school. It's a great time for me to remember "Sarah".I get to use my adult mind and write and communicate in adult talk verses the toddler talk I talk all day. I have completed the first two weeks with 100% in everything. I set a goal in my last assignment to get a 4.0 in my Bachelors. Wish me well! I recently finished Breaking Dawn so I could discuss at Book Club. All I can say is I'm glad the sequel is over!! I had to read the book because I read the first three, but I just wasn't impressed with it. It is way too much info for young adults. Sorry sisters for that.!!! I prefer being a human. Poor Bella.

Malin goes to a ground campus class on Wednesday at WIU. He is loving it. He is getting a MBA in International Business......yes he is still in school. He is also a great help to me in my class. He lets me know when I need to stress and when a certain thing is not so important. Thanks babe! I love you. He recently put a WHOLE NEW A/C in our suburban!!! Mister not so acquainted with cars did the impossible!!! He fixed our car! Ofcourse, he had a lot of help from a step by step book and his good friend Rustin Keime, but he did it! I am so proud of him for overcoming one of his weaknesses........he did it so fast too!!!!And he saved us easily $1000. He's a keeper.

Aubrey is loving Preschool. She learned about the letter A her first week. I noticed a big A and a little a written on her wall last week. I asked who did it and Aubrey said, " I learned it at Preschool so I need to write it on my wall!!AHH!! We had a talk about that. She loves to pretend with her sister. She's good for Savannah because she helps her remember that we're "just pretending". Savannah seems to forget that sometimes. She's growing up too fast. We got our Autumn decor down from the attic last week and the girls have had a ball wearing their halloween costumes from last year. Aubrey already know what she wants to be this year.....Cinderella. She loves Princesses!!! She is so sweet and innocent and melts my heart.

Baby Malin is a talker!! He tries to repeat everything I say. His new word is lolo for cereal. He tells me when he "poopoos" and loves to point to all the cars and make the car sound. He has whole list of these things he can say that we often practice rattling off. Dog sound, cat sound, airplane sound, PaPa, Nana(Means Banana, Savannah and Aubrey), coocoo(cookie), Cracker, snake sound(ssssssss), and ofcourse BoBo(bottle) I gotta break him of that. He is still getting adjusted to nursery. And he is just stinking cute............

Here's a few pictures from our trip last week to Thatcher for Rikki's baby shower.I didn't get any pictures of the shower. But she got SO much nice stuff. Drew and Rikki got it made!! I love the baby room. They did a great job on it.

We also got to watch Leisel and Jillian in Spiritline on Friday night. They were flying everywhere and doing backhandsprings and backflips all over the place. They were more entertaining than the football team. Thatcher did win Safford......their biggest rival!! Heck yeah!!!

Ok, sorry, here's the pictures. Little Malin was the life of the party. He was all over the place. He almost ran on the field a few times. We sat down on the grass in comfay chairs so the kids could play.....you should have seen the stadium. It was packed! He especially loved the cheerleaders.

Savannah found a friend to run around with at the game. I never got her name.....they had good time together.Leisel is behind Malin. The short one in the front.Jillian is Freshmen and is the cutest one ever! She's a flyer and stunter on the team.Aubrey loved staying right by mommy. She's a little shy these days. But she's slowing growing out of it.Savannah found a new love....she loves to eat Bill Johnsons Barbeque ribs with her daddy. You should have seen her!!! She belongs on a commercial promoting barbeque ribs for Big Apple! It was hilarious.

WE also got to take the kiddos on their first four wheeler ride thanks to the Keimes. We went on Sept 5th. We went about 5:00, the weather was perfect. It was so fun!! The kids had fun playing in the dirt too. Probably just as much fun as fourwheeling. The kiddos were too cute. Malin especially loved the brm,brm sound.

There he is!!Aubrey and MommySavannah and MommyTanner and Aubrey. Tanner's younger than Aubrey, yet bigger than her. We think they look like brother and sister. They both had cute cheesers right her.
